Episode 43: Mutant Crawl Classics

This week on Spellburn, the Judges J get the band back together for a very special show! We’re celebrating the Free RPG Day debut and subsequent Kickstarter of the very long-awaited Mutant Crawl Classics RPG. We all burned down to 3’s on the Invoke Patron roll for this one, and our special guest for this show is none other than our very own Judge Jim! Now that MCC is officially out there, Judge Jim can tell us everything he’s had to keep quiet about for the past few years.

  1. Michael says:

    No link for the kickstarter?

  2. Great episode from the “Judges J”! More please!

  3. Stinky1EyedOgre says:

Yeah!Nice to have the full team back together, even if it is just for one episode. Hope to hear more of them soon.

  4. I heard you mention Mutant Epoch. For all of you on this podcast I highly recommend checking it out. It’s a really great game. In my limited interaction with William McAusland I have learned that he is a really nice guy that is reachable. When you open up Mutant Epoch for the first time and start to look through it, you will see that it is a true labor of love. His additional source material for the game is 2nd to none. My personal intention is to use MCC and Mutant Epoch together and I can’t wait to get the MCC stuff.

I Love your show and thanks for taking the time to do it.

  5. Hey, what was that song at the very end during the Glowburn bit? I’ve been trying to track it down.

  6. Shimrath says:

You should have a link to Jon Marr the Purple Sorcerer and his amazing tools, mentioned around 57-58 minute mark!

  7. Man, was it great to hear another Spellburn podcast! I had to put it off for a couple of days, and just got a chance to listen.

The MCC and Lankhmar projects should give you plenty of material for future episodes, as well as Harley Stroh’s Journey to the Center of Aereth. The convention reports are also always welcome for those of us unable to be there in person.

BTW, I will be at GaryCon in 2017 and hope to have a chance to game with some of you fine people!

  8. Stephen Newton says:

Great episodes, J’s! Nice to have the band back together. Looking forward to getting my hands on that sweet mutant swag!

  9. Thank you, guys. So glad to have a new episode. One of the best gaming podcasts ever. You guys should set up a Patreon or something similar, I would gladly give for every episode, especially if it keeps you guys going longer.
